The West Bengal Police has issued a stern warning ahead of the Nabanna Abhiyan rally, scheduled for tomorrow. Addressing the media, Bengal ADG (Law and Order) Manoj Verma described the rally as "illegal" and warned that any form of violence would not be tolerated.
The Nabanna Abhiyan, organized by the Chhatra Samaj, is set to be a massive demonstration, with participants demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The protest stems from growing unrest over the handling of the RG Kar Medical College case, which has drawn significant public outcry.
Kolkata and Howrah police have geared up for tomorrow's rally. Barricades have been put up at key points across the city to stop the crowd from reaching the state secretariat building.
